Which fast and furious came out in 2009

If you've only watched the "Fast and Furious" movies, you've missed out on about another half hour of the franchise. There are also two official "Fast" shorts, one of which was directed by Vin Diesel himself. There's also another movie that's considered the ultimate prequel to the entire franchise. He drives cross country making cash by street racing while evading cops after letting Dominic go at the end of "The Fast and the Furious.

The short contains no dialogue, but if you're wondering how Brian wound up with the Nissan Skyline he has at the start of the "Fast and Furious" sequel, the six-minute video will show you exactly how it all happened. You can check it out here. It's a precursor to the fourth "Fast and Furious" film and sets up the oil heist at the film's start.

The minute prologue feels like two mini episodes. The first half shows Dom hiding out with family in the Dominican Republic while Han Sung Kang , from "Tokyo Drift," arrives and notes that he's never been to Japan at that point.

He says he met Dom in Mexico so it's clear this movie takes place a bit in the past. There's a lot of talk about oil being scarce and expensive. Dom helps break Leo from prison who later becomes a part of the team in subsequent movies. The latter half of the short focuses on Dom's relationship with Letty Michelle Rodriguez after she turns up in the DR. The two road trip out to a beach where they end up spending a lot of time in a canoe paddling, making out, lying around, falling out of the canoe, and making out some more.

What began as a light Point Break remake that swapped surfboards for cars—but kept all the unironic man-love—soon ballooned into an epic, globe-trotting heist series injected with a dangerous dose of NoS, one where the concept of family can forgive all crimes and the action set-pieces gleefully laugh in the face of physics.

If you're new to the series or just planning a rewatch! There's no "right" way to do it, and it certainly helps that these are some of the most endlessly rewatchable action movies ever made. Here is the Fast Saga in order of how its films were released in theaters. Directed by Rob Cohen , the first film in the series set the stage by building a bonafide action movie around the culture of drag racing.

Things get muddled when Brian develops a genuine friendship with the crew's charismatic leader, Dominic Toretto Vin Diesel , and a romantic relationship with Dom's sister, Mia Jordana Brewster. This is also the first time we meet vital series mainstay Letty Ortiz Michelle Rodriguez.

The story of what Dom and Letty were up to after the first movie is explained in the short film, Los Bandoleros. This is where things get screwy. Him being back, and his character arc in this is one of the main reasons I like this film more than the previous ones. At the start of the film he leaves his gang because the police are gunning for him. He then gets a call from his sister saying Letty Michelle Rodriguez's character has been killed.

Now Toretto is on a revenge mission to kill the person who killed Letty. This makes it more of a personal story for the characters, especially Toretto, which I like.

I am also a fan of revenge stories, which made me enjoy this more. I like Paul Walker's character, Brian o Connor, more here than any of the previous films. He seems more mature and professional here. In this film he has been reinstated as an FBI agent. I still do not really buy him as an FBI agent; he does come off as more professional and less of a punk in this movie.

Jordana Brewster, from the first film, comes back as Mia, who is Brian's love interest. I thought she was fine, but she is not given much to do. The other characters are not much. Han Lu form Tokyo Drift returns here, as well as Letty.

However, they only show-up in the beginning and then disappear from the movie. This story is really about Brian and Toretto. The villain is also very lazy. The Fast films have never had strong villains, but I find this one particularly weak. The villain in this movie along with the villain in the first film is probably my least favourite villains of these movies. The races are still fun to watch. The races here are probably some of my favourite of the franchise. Although there is some very obvious CGI used in some of the races and car chases which might take you out.

There was CGI used in the previous films as well, but here it is particularly noticeable. The CG did irk me, but it did not ruin the action.

Overall, Fast and Furious is my second favourite Fast film so far. I definitely like it more than the films before it. I like the darker tone, as well as Vin Diesel and his character arc. The races were also good despite the noticeable CGI. For those who are fans of this franchise give this a look if you have not already.
